Inspiration

I've been pushing myself to find inspiration for weeks now, trying to find ideas to connect with readers, and trying to find the perfect image for a social media post. I've been forcing ideas through me because nothing is inspiring me anymore. I've tried meditating, detox baths, sitting in stillness, and just free-flow writing. All I've done is stress myself out more and feel uninspired more and more each day.

The one thing to remember about inspiration is to just live and allow the events, music, people, and places around you to be a source of inspiration as well. You can't become a hermit and stay in your room or safe space and just find ideas popping up in your head left and right. If you do, you are truly blessed, but dare I say, a tad bit lonely.

This morning I woke up with the idea of "how do you take a seed and grow it into change." Where did the seed come from? Do you have the skills to nurture that seed, or will you fall into the trap of self-doubt and never put it in the ground? It's also possible you could be highly blessed and just throw that seed on the ground with no thought, no action, and the outcome is still a full-grown plant bearing fruit. Each of us receives inspiration for change all the time, but not all of us can follow the same procedure as everyone else. Not all of us are wired to bear fruit at the same time. Consider that each person around you has their own growing zone.

There were moments in my journey when I planted my seed of change, but every day, I wanted to dig up that seed to see if there was any change. I pushed myself for change, and yet somehow still felt like I was in the same spot, growing but seeing no change. I didn't have anything to compare it to; my life was all new territory for me. Had I changed? Was I just becoming the old me again? What am I trying to achieve? I have no plan.

At one point during a 45 minute meditation of silence, I was enlightened. I was guided into the thought that not all change is necessary that sometimes it's just as simple as letting your walls down and there ins't physical evidence of when some of these changes happen. It takes time for many changes to take formation within our lives and each day we try more and more but not always will there be an acknowledgment that change has happened.

Once I stopped trying to measure the amount of change that had happened, I was able to focus on the subtle changes that were happening on the inside.

More and more customers at work would stand there and talk to me. They would talk about private matters or even just how they honestly felt that day. I didn't notice it at first, then it started happening more and more frequently. I would listen to what they were saying to me, all of these people looking for someone to listen to them and care about them for even a fraction of time. I've met many people whom I randomly compliment on a particular thing, like earrings, and I find out they love making them but don't believe in themselves enough to turn it into a career. It doesn't even have to be a career, but having a little Etsy shop and allowing your inspiration to keep flowing and not cutting it off is monumental. Some people are truly inspired, and they aren't doing what they love, so they leave no room for inspiration to flow in their life.

If you have inspiration, don't cut off the flow; allow it to flow freely and remember what causes it to flow. I think my flow is writing and inspiring others. I would love to teach people to live a more whole life full of inspiration, abundance, and joy. This kind of life is possible even in the craziness that we now live in.

Remember, the seed of change and inspiration is different for everyone. Not all of us will have the same story to tell, but there will always be a story—an inspiration that might be profound, or it could just be a subtle idea to ignite your whole world and change the course of your life.

Be open to inspiration coming in to help facilitate the changes we need to be whole again.

Sometimes we are already fine just the way we are, and our problem is learning that it's okay to just be. Allow yourself to just be.
